COLLEGE READINESS PROGRAMS
Our commitment to preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals
READY SET Program
LSU Health Shreveport’s Ready Set Program, a six-week ACT tutorial, has the potential to significantly impact the college readiness of high school students in Caddo Parish. The program is offered in the fall and spring semesters of the academic year, currently accommodating 25 participants.
LSU Health Shreveport’s Ready Set ACT Prep Program is facilitated by Michael Phillips, an expert ACT tutor with more than 55 years of experience. Michael Phillips has served the Shreveport/Bossier area as an standardized test facilitator, specializing in ACT tutorials, and MCAT test preparation, and uses a scientific process he created and refined throughout his career, to serve over thousands of students- some of which have earned perfect scores on the ACT after attending his workshops. Throughout the years, some of his previous students currently serve as school administrators, high school principals, lawyers, and more.
