Meet the Team 2022
Hey, y’all! My name is Abigail, and I am a first-year medical student from Natchitoches, LA. Being a part of Camp Tiger last year was a such a special way to begin my medical school journey, and I will forever cherish the memories from that time. This is truly a week of excitement and joy for our campers and a memorable and meaningful experience for us as medical students, so I am humbled to be a part of it again.
It is an honor and joy to serve as the Director alongside such a dedicated group of students as we plan this year’s camp together. We hope to make Camp Tiger 2022 the best one yet as we give such a deserving group of campers and their families a week of fun. I am sincerely grateful to the parents and guardians of our campers, medical students, LSU Health Shreveport, and those who have supported Camp Tiger—none of this would be possible without you!
My name is Caroline Manning, and I am a first-year medical student from Shreveport! I am so excited to be serving as one of the Camper Co-Directors for this year’s Camp Tiger. My younger brother is autistic, and although he never attended Camp Tiger, this camp holds a special place in my heart because of all the wonderful things it has done for children like him. I got the opportunity to volunteer as a counselor at last year’s Camp Tiger, and that experience made me want to give more back to this community by serving as a Co-Director this year. I am very excited to be working with this amazing team and making Camp Tiger 2022 the best one yet!
My name is Charles Daniel, and I'm beyond thrilled to serve my school, the Shreveport community, and of course, the campers as a Camper Co-Director for Camp Tiger 2022! I'm a first-year medical student from St. Francisville, Louisiana, with a background in therapy for special needs children at my undergraduate institution of Belmont Abbey College. During my time as a counselor at Camp Tiger 2021, I was amazed by the involvement of students and how vibrantly that involvement was reciprocated through the joy and gratitude of each camper and their parents alike. With that incredible experience, I knew I wanted to be involved in Camp Tiger 2022. I'm honored to serve such an incredible group of people who come together to create a wonderfully memorable experience for each camper at Camp Tiger 2022!
My name is Miranda Duhon, and I am one of the Camper Co-Directors for Camp Tiger 2022! I am a first-year medical student from St. Amant, Louisiana. I had the opportunity to serve as a counselor at the last Camp Tiger. I am so honored to be able to help organize a camp that brings so much joy to the kids in the Shreveport community as well as the medical students. I am so excited for Camp Tiger 2022 and can’t wait to make it the best camp yet!
My name is Connor Plaisance, and I am currently a first-year medical student from Thibodaux, Louisiana. It's an absolute honor and I couldn't be more excited to be a Camp Tiger Counselor Co-Director for 2022! I was fortunate enough to be able to serve at last summer's camp as a counselor, and it's been one of my favorite events ever since. My favorite part of camp is being able to see the excitement and the thrill in the children's eyes and how much this experience means to them. I am humbled to be able to help coordinate Camp Tiger 2022, and I am looking forward to preparing an outstanding and unforgettable camp for our awesome campers this summer!
My name is Hannah Cowart, and I am a first-year medical student from Central, Louisiana. I am so grateful and excited to be one of the Counselor Co-Directors for Camp Tiger 2022! I had the pleasure of participating in this camp last year as a counselor. This opportunity gave me a first-hand look at what an incredible and meaningful experience this camp is for both the children of the Shreveport community as well as for the medical students. Camp Tiger will forever hold a special place in my heart, and I cannot wait to help make Camp Tiger 2022 the best one yet!
My name is Kaitlyn Gustinger, and I am one of the counselor co-directors for Camp Tiger 2022! I am from West Monroe, LA, and I went to LSU-BR for my undergraduate degree. Camp Tiger is an awesome opportunity for students to give back to the Shreveport community in a very meaningful way while also having fun and getting to know their new classmates. When I was a counselor for Camp Tiger in 2021, I was inspired by everyone’s enthusiasm for creating a fun and memorable experience for these kids, and I am honored to be able to participate in this year’s Camp Tiger.
