Office of Institutional Planning, Effectiveness, and Accreditation
ABOUT
The Office of Institutional Planning, Effectiveness, and Accreditation at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center at Shreveport provides the university community with information and analysis to support planning, decision-making, and continuous quality improvement. The office directs the campus-wide Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) accreditation to comply with core requirements, comprehensive standards, and federal requirements and advises schools on program accreditation. Additionally, the office oversees institutional assessment as a process to use data to improve academic programs and services and coordinates program changes and new program development.
To fulfill accreditation responsibilities, the office oversees and coordinates the decennial and fifth-year reaffirmations by SACSCOC, monitors the institution’s ongoing compliance with accreditation standards, documents student achievement in keeping with federal requirements, and tracks specialized accreditation of university programs.
The Office of Institutional Planning, Effectiveness, and Accreditation reports to the Provost.
