Our goal is to serve LSU Health Shreveport students and engage our entire academic community as we work to build a culture of support and connection with student well-being. We accomplish mental health and personal development by collaborating directly with students to overcome challenges and difficulties that may interfere with academic, emotional, and personal success. The Student Counseling Center helps remove barriers to learning by providing accessible psychological and psychiatric assessment, short-term psychotherapy, medication management, consultation and crisis intervention, community referrals, workshops and psychoeducational programming to currently enrolled students.

There is no out-of-pocket expense for our services to any student who has paid tuition and fees.
OPERATING HOURS
We are available to assist you at the clinic during the following days/times: Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Flexible Appointment Availability:
Additionally, we offer flexible appointment scheduling options. If you are in need of individual counseling outside of normal operating hours, please contact us. We are willing to work with students to meet their needs for scheduling appointments around work and class schedules.
