“We are excited about the Fitness Zone in our new Center for Medical Education. This area is designed and equipped with direct input from all campus stakeholders. This is the first time in the history of our campus to have dedicated space for the physical wellness of the entire campus population. We are equally excited to have Mrs. Angel Martin join us as the inaugural Director of the Fitness Zone. Mrs. Martin joins us after serving as the Director of Student Life at LSU-Shreveport for the last 10 years. She has 18+ years of experience in the fitness industry as well as 16+ years in higher education. She is very familiar with our student population and we are certain she will be an asset to our campus as we embark on this exciting new journey.”
- Suzanne Tinsley PhD, PT, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement

What students are saying ...

Fitness Testimonial - Briona Allison

LSU Health Shreveport already offers great educational programs, and now that they're offering a brand new fitness and wellness center, it's just going to add to the overall experience and environment that's been great here already. - Briona A.

Fitness Testimonial - Lucas Hatch

This fitness center brings a lot of options. We have cardio, we have a weight room, we a have basketball gym, we have yoga sessions. We have a cool little 360 machine setup. And so it just offers a lot of options and that'll be really good to promote health and fitness. - Lucas H.
