Application Process

The LSU Health Shreveport BS Medical Laboratory Science Program accepts applications for admission via the Allied Health Centralized Application Service (AHCAS). Applicants should send all application materials directly to AHCAS. Applicants should NOT send any application documents directly to the Program or LSU Health Shreveport.

To complete an application for admission to Medical Laboratory Science Program, submit the following materials via AHCAS by the deadline:

1. Complete an online application through the Allied Health Centralized Application Service (AHCAS). The AHCAS application must be completed (e-submitted, payment received, and all materials received) by the application deadline for the desired start date. 

2. Official transcripts from all college-level institutions ever attended (including high school dual enrollment) sent to AHCAS:

a. Your registrar should mail your paper transcripts to the following address:

b. AHCAS only accepts electronic transcripts from Credentials Solutions, Parchment, and National Student Clearinghouse. If your school does not offer these services, your transcript must be sent by mail

c. Please read the Transcript FAQ’s before submitting your application.

3. Two letters of reference completed by instructors or supervisors via the AHCAS Evaluation portal.
 

Prospective students interested in a pre-requisite course check are invited to email unofficial college transcripts to the Program Director, Stephanie Blackburn, EdD, MLS(ASCP)CM at stephanie.blackburn@lsuhs.edu. 

Residents of AR and TX are eligible for in-state tuition rates!
