The Urology Research & Skills Laboratory (URSL) on the 7th floor allows both novel and experienced endoscopists the ability to simulate percutaneous kidney access and to become familiar and facile with the endourology materials available for effective and efficient use in the OR. The laboratory houses two percutaneous nephrolithotomy slab trainers (kidney gelatin models), as well as a wide array of wires, nephrostomy balloon dilators and inflators, renal dilators, nitinol stone baskets, and miscellaneous endourology tools, such as endopyelotomy and metallic titanium stents.

The Dry Skills Laboratory on the ground floor houses a Simbionix LAP Mentor simulator for use with the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery laparoscopic suturing curriculum. These modules familiarize the resident with laparoscopic dissection, electrocautery, and stitching.

The da Vinci Xi and Si simulators on the 3rd and 4th floors allow the residents to hone their robotic skill set by practicing movement and deflection of objects, suturing, knot tying, and optimizing economy of motion.
