We offer specialty medical and surgical care of diseases and disorders of the head and neck. This includes the following areas:

Allergy: treatment by medication, immunotherapy and/or avoidance of pollen, dust, mold, food, and other sensitivities that affect the ear, nose, and throat.
Examples: hay fever, seasonal and perennial rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, laryngitis, sore throat, otitis media, dizziness.

Audiology: the study of hearing and balance disorders.
Examples: hearing tests for all ages, cochlear implant programming for Cochlear and Advanced Bionics products, balance tests (Videonystagmography and Electronystagmography), automated and diagnostic auditory brainstem response tests, and hearing aids.

Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery: cosmetic, functional, and reconstructive surgical treatment of abnormalities of the face and neck.
Examples: deviated septum, rhinoplasty (nose), face lift, cleft palate, drooping eyelids, microdermabrasion.

Head and Neck Surgery: cancerous and non-cancerous tumors in the head and neck, including the thyroid and parathyroid diseases, salivary gland disease, and skull based tumors.
Examples: lump in the neck or thyroid, cancer of the voice box.

Laryngology/ Voice:  disorders of the throat, including voice and swallowing problems.
Examples: sore throat, hoarseness, swallowing disorder, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

Otology/ Neurotology: diseases of the ear, including trauma (injury), cancer, and nerve pathway disorders, which affect hearing and balance.
Examples: ear infection; swimmer's ear; hearing loss; ear, face, or neck pain; dizziness, ringing in the ears (tinnitus).

Pediatric Otolaryngology: diseases in children with special ENT problems including birth defects in the head and neck and developmental delays.
Examples: ear infection (otitis media), tonsil and adenoid infection, airway problems, infectious and congenital head and neck masses, vascular malformation, hemangiomas, Down's syndrome, asthma and allergy/sinus disease. More Information

The Louisiana Cleft Team LSU Shreveport (TLC Team): Our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals provide a highly specialized approach to treatment of cleft lip and palate, cleft nasal deformities, speech problems including velopharyngeal insufficiency (VPI)

Rhinology, Sinus Surgery, Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery: disorders of the nose and sinuses. Skull Base Tumors.  Examples: sinus disorder, nose bleed, stuffy nose, loss of smell.

Robotic Assisted Surgery: Our specially trained physicians utilize minimally-invasive robotic surgery techniques to remove benign and malignant tumors of the mouth and throat. The robot allows exceptional access to the small and often difficult to reach areas of the mouth and throat making complex surgeries less invasive.
