On behalf of the Neurosurgery Department at LSU Health Shreveport, we are very pleased to invite interested graduating neurosurgery residents to apply for a comprehensive endoscopic and open skull base fellowship for the upcoming academic year. We offer an excellent combination of clinical and research opportunities.
The clinical component will consist of all aspects of complex intracranial surgery, including:
- endoscopic skull base surgery
- aneurysm/AVM surgery
- complex skull base tumors
- cerebrovascular bypass
- acoustic neuroma surgery
- awake craniotomy techniques
- intraventricular endoscopy
The research component will consist of a combination of anatomic based cadaveric projects and clinical outcomes / technique-based projects. New project ideas are encouraged. We enjoy an excellent collaborative relationship with our Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery Department and the fellow will be an important part of this greater team.
