Our mission is to improve the overall well-being and quality of life of people with movement disorders through clinical care, education, research, and community outreach.

   

CLINICAL SERVICES

We are dedicated to providing care for persons living with movement disorders and their care partners. We specialize in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Parkinson's disease and related parkinsonian disorders
  • Essential tremor and other types of tremor
  • Huntington’s disease
  • Dystonia
  • Tourette disorder and tic disorders
  • Tardive dyskinesia and other tardive syndromes
  • Ataxia
  • Gait disorders

Our team includes neurologists with specialized training in movement disorders. In addition, we work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure person-centered, comprehensive care tailored to each individual’s needs.

Dr. Kaur specializes in Movement Disorders including spectrum of hypokinetic and hyperkinetic disorder with special interest in chemodenervarion with botulinum toxin injection for spasticity, hemifacial spasm, blepharospasm, cervical dystonia, sialorrhea and migraine headache, and Neuromodulation with Deep Brain Stimulation for Parkinson's Disease and Essential tremor. Dr. Kaur's research focuses on Parkinson's Disease.

Dr. Chunga is a board-certified neurologist with expertise in Movement Disorders and Clinical Neurophysiology. She prioritizes a person-centered approach and specializes in the care of people with movement disorders, including the use of advanced treatments such as deep brain stimulation and botulinum toxin therapy. Dr. Chunga has a special interest in the application of neurophysiological tools to improve the understanding, diagnosis, and management of movement disorders. She is also dedicated to developing strategies to improve hospital outcomes for people with movement disorders and address health disparities in Neurology.


Advanced Therapies

Deep Brain Stimulation
In collaboration with the neurosurgery team, we offer evaluation and ongoing management of deep brain stimulation therapy for conditions such as Parkinson disease, essential tremor, dystonia, and others.

Infusion Therapies
We offer advanced infusion (pump-based) therapies for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. These therapies provide continuous medication delivery and can help improve management of symptoms for some patients.

Botulinum Toxin Therapy
Our clinic offers botulinum toxin injections for a variety of movement disorders, including dystonia, hemifacial spasm, tremor, tardive dyskinesia, and others. We also offer this therapy for the treatment of spasticity, chronic migraine, and sialorrhea.
