Jiang Lab is focused on understanding how microRNAs affect the development and functions of immune cells. His current focus in the laboratory is exploration of the physiological and pathological roles of let-7 clusters, other microRNAs and metabolic enzymes in various immune cells, with particular focus on B cells and macrophages. The Jiang Lab is working to investigate molecular mechanisms of let-7adf cluster in activated macrophages. Additionally, the research team aims to identify and dissect the link between metabolic reprogramming and infection-mediated immune responses. We are working towards a greater understanding of how noncoding RNAs regulate immune cell responses, with an emphasis on molecular pathways that are relevant to human diseases including infections and cancer.
