Master's Degree Program
Cellular Biology and Anatomy
The Master's of Science program in Cellular Biology & Anatomy provides our students with training in the Clinical Anatomical Sciences that gives them the tools to enable them to continue to pursue a terminal degree after graduation if they desire to ultimately join a faculty within an Academic Medical Center.
Our program also has a translational component in basic science research skills, which allows the student to develop a research career in a setting of their choosing, whether at undergraduate / community college or in an Industrial / Pharmaceutical Research setting.
Students in the Masters program gain research experience through matriculating in the state-of-the-art research programs of our faculty. Our faculty explore basic and translational research studies in areas such as cardiovascular disease, stroke, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and diabetic complications.
The training received by our Master's program graduates have allowed many of them to continue to pursue careers in Medicine and Allied Health professions.
Admission Requirements
Students must have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, a grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 point scale, and a minimum verbal plus quantitative score of 300 on the Graduate Record Examination. Three letters of recommendation must also be provided by professors familiar with the student’s coursework or academic employment, initiative and character. Stipends are not available for accepted Master's program applicants.
International students are also required to have minimum scores of 90/120 on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or 6.5 on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System). All transcripts must be converted to the U.S. system by the Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE).
