Application Process

In response to the COVID-19 situation, the following considerations have been made to the application process:

  1. Interviews will be conducted virtually.
  2. Specific instructions and technological requirements will be sent to applicants who are invited to interview.

Application Overview

  1. Submit your application through CASPA
  2. Submit your supplemental application and $50 payment online.

April 30, 2020 - CASPA application opens

You will receive an email when your verified CASPA application has been received.

You will receive an email when your supplemental application has been received. If you have not heard from the program ~2 weeks after sending in your supplemental application, please contact the Admissions Office at

Once your verified CASPA and supplemental application are received, your application will be reviewed for completeness. If something is missing (for example, outstanding prerequisite courses) you will receive an email. Respond to all emails in a timely manner. All program communications with applicants are through CASPA.

When you should submit your application:
  1. If your prerequisite courses are completed and your health care hours are completed, submit early.
  2. If you are in the process of completing your required coursework, submit your CASPA application after your grades are posted (so they can verify your most recent coursework). For example, if you are enrolled in courses in the Spring of 2020, submit your application to CASPA after your grades for Spring are posted on your transcript. If you are enrolled in summer courses, submit your application after those grades are posted.
  3. If you are in the process of completing your healthcare hours, submit after you have the minimum number of hours. However, if you will be gaining a significant amount of experience, (for example, working full time during the summer) wait until those hours are completed before submitting.

October 1, 2020 - Deadline for:

Because of the high number of qualified applicants, meeting the minimum admissions criteria does not guarantee an interview for the program.

Selected candidates will be invited to interview in the fall (usually September, October and November)

We use a Multiple Mini Interview Session to evaluate motor skills, communication skills, intellectual skills, behavioral qualities, and interpersonal skills.

This will be implemented virtually using SortSmart®. SortSmart® test is a motivation-based admissions screening test designed to assess your suitably for our program including your motivation, conscientiousness, coachability and other characteristics we deem are important. The test mimics an in-person interview and is administered online. Successful completion of the SortSmart test is mandatory in order to maintain admission eligibility. In order to take the test, you will require access to a computer with a webcam, microphone, and reliable Internet connection. Additional details about the test will be emailed to those selected to participate.

December 15, 2020 - All applicants will be notified of admissions decision.

Because of the high number of qualified applicants, meeting the minimum admissions criteria does not guarantee an interview for the program.

Please note: if you do not meet the minimum requirements (for example, your undergraduate GPA is lower than a 3.0) or you do not submit your supplemental application to the program by the stated deadline, your application will not be reviewed. Applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received, so submit early.
