If anyone at LSU Health Shreveport has concerns about being exposed to the virus, they should contact their health provider, and students may also contact the Student Health Center. Health professionals will evaluate you and determine if you need to be tested for the virus or if you need to self-quarantine. ENTRANCES – The following locations will serve as entry points for the campus from 7 am - 4 pm Monday through Friday. Anyone accessing campus outside of these hours (with the exception of EVT lab personnel) will be required to enter through the hospital lobby.

• Administration Bldg. (front entrance facing Kings Highway)
• Comp Care Building (A Building)

TEMPERATURE CHECK - All employees and students returning to campus will be required to have their temperature checked daily upon arrival, so please allow time for that to occur. Anyone found to be running a fever (˃ 100.4°F) should immediately see his or her personal physician or go to the Employee Health Clinic on the third floor of the Comp Care Building.

MASKS - Each student and employee is responsible for providing their own face covering (mask) due to a limited supply of PPE. Keep in mind that a mask does not have to be a surgical mask as a solid cloth covering for your nose and mouth is acceptable. A mask will be required when entering or departing campus, in common areas such as restrooms and hallways, and when one’s job or academic endeavor requires you to be within six feet of another person. Failure to wear mask as detailed may result in disciplinary actions.

Effective Thursday, May 28, shuttles will operate on a limited basis around campus with social distancing protocols in place on the bus and regular sanitizing.

People who were Parking in Lots B, O and L should resume parking in those locations. Access to lots Q, R, and S will continue to be on a first come basis with parking at the Parkview Baptist Church serving as overflow. 

In order to assist in supporting social distancing, if a department is requesting a badge to be made, the Parking Office is asking that the department email a completed badge request form signed by the department head with the allowed access to aliste@lsuhsc.edu and tfence@lsuhsc.edu. A picture of the individual will also need to accompany the badge request. Picture can be taken with a cell phone camera and uploaded with email. Parking will import the picture onto the badge using the P2000 system. Parking will print the badges and leave badge(s) with UPD. Anyone that currently has a badge and needs additional building access added must go through the UPD office. Click here to access the badge access form. The CDC recommends people clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces (e.g., keyboards, cell phones, doorknobs, desks, light switches) using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

HAND SANITIZER - A bottle of hand sanitizer will be provided for each department in addition to the hand sanitizing stations throughout the campus. Refills can be obtained by calling the Safety Office.

Current (03/19/2020) Guidance on Travel for LSU Health Shreveport Employees:

Based on recent guidance received from the State of Louisiana, effective immediately and until further notice the following travel restrictions are in place:

• All international travel is prohibited.
• All Out-of-State Travel, whether by ground or air is prohibited unless it is directly related to the State’s response to COVID-19 and must be approved in advanced by Jeff Reynolds, Vice Chancellor for Admin & Finance.
• All in-State travel is strongly discourage and should only occur if it is related to direct patient care or the State’s response to COVID-19.
• LSUHSC-S also strongly discourages any personal travel during the COVID-19 outbreak. Any Student, Staff and Faculty that conducts personal travel shall acknowledge that travel is exceptionally risky, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, and understand that they may experience travel disruptions which may result in extended stay. The traveler shall further acknowledge and agree that they may be required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days upon their return.

In order to perform normal jobs duties and work remotely, you will need to utilize LSUHS's VPN. Utilizing the VPN will allow you to access resources that you normally would only be able to access if you were on the LSUHS network while providing an additional layer of security.
