LARC hosted a virtual Q&A on August 7, 2020 to discuss important topics related to the current addiction crisis and COVID-19. Members of the community were able to ask questions and panelists shared vital information on supporting loved ones.

    LARC Roundtable

    Louisiana Addiction Research Center hosted an informal Community Roundtable on February 26th on the LSU Health Shreveport campus with an open discussion around the challenges of addiction in our community. Executive Director, Dr. Nicholas Goeders introduced the Center’s mission and plans for LARC to address the issues discussed. In attendance at the event were community leaders, including Judge David Matlock, representatives from Senators John Kennedy and Bill Cassidy’s offices, CADA (Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse), LSU Shreveport, Volunteers of America, and other community organizations.
