Federal regulations require that students applying for funding through the Title IV Student Aid Programs must meet and maintain minimum academic progression requirements referred to as Satisfactory Academic Progression (SAP). Title IV Student Aid Programs include Federal Direct Subsidized Loans, Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loans, Federal Direct GradPLUS Loans, Federal Direct PLUS Loans, Federal Pell Grant, and Federal Supplemental Educational Grant (SEOG). Although the SAP requirements apply primarily to Federal Student Aid Programs, other financial aid programs (state, institutional, and private) may require the same or similar academic measurements to determine eligibility. Currently enrolled students and students newly accepted in an academic program can access a detailed policy on the LSU Health Sciences Center Intranet after activating their LSU Health Network ID and password. Prospective student can request the policy from the Student Financial Aid Office.
