LSUHS School of Allied Health Professions hosts Research Night

The annual LSUHS School of Allied Health Professions (SAHP) Research Night event took place Thursday, March 17th, 2022 from 4:30-6:30pm.  The SAHP Grants and Research Committee selected twenty two peer-reviewed research posters representing most of the programs in the school:  Cardiopulmonary Science, Communication Disorders (Speech-Language Pathology), Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Public Health, and the PhD program in Rehabilitation Sciences.  Faculty and student investigators gathered to share their work with each other and with others from the community including colleagues from the Medical School and LSUS.  A wide variety of topics and methodologies were on display, such as cohort, cross-sectional, retrospective, and case studies, as well as scoping reviews, policy analyses and framework papers.  Attendees were able to mingle with researchers to learn about their research while enjoying food and drink provided by the school. It is the hope of the Grants and Research Committee to continue the Research Night event annually.
