LSUHS Researcher among team to win People’s Choice Award for American Academy of Sleep Medicine’s Change Agents Competition

Oleg Chernyshev MD, Associate Professor of Neurology and Sleep Medicine at LSUHS, and Washington University Sleep Center teammates were named the winners of the AASM Change Agent People’s Choice Award for their proposed creation of a “Mobile Sleep Medicine Model.”

LSUHS Faculty receives Award for Exceptional Service in Mentoring and Volunteering

Diana Merendino, DPT, RRT, RRT-NPS, RPFT, FAARC; Assistant Dean of Academic and Student Affairs; and Associate Professor of Cardiopulmonary Science in the School of Allied Health Professions was honored with the prestigious Bill Lamb Exceptional Service in Mentoring and Volunteering Award for her 38 years of outstanding service to the profession.

Mayor Perkins signs Proclamation honoring LSU Health Shreveport for response during COVID-19 pandemic

Today at 11 am, City of Shreveport Mayor Adrian D. Perkins proclaimed December 18, 2020 “LSU Health Shreveport Day” .  This honor was bestowed in recognition of the immense contributions made LSU Health Shreveport faculty, staff and students in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

School of Allied Health Professions honors the late Ike Muslow MD with dedication of commemorative bench

Dr. Ike Muslow was a giant among those who have advocated for and loved LSU Health Shreveport. He was still teaching during his last hospital stay and never ceased promoting every aspect of our health sciences center to include the School of Allied Health Professions where he received his physical therapy.
